Liver Detox Drink
Ingredients:
1 cup filtered water (or coconut water for added electrolytes)
1/2 medium lemon, juiced
1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1/2-inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
Optional: A few fresh mint leaves for added flavour
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Juice the lemon and grate the ginger and turmeric if using fresh roots.
Combine in a Glass: Add the lemon juice, grated ginger, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, honey (if using), and black pepper to a large glass or jar.
Add Water: Pour the filtered water or coconut water over the ingredients and stir well to combine.
Chill (Optional): Let the drink sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld, or serve immediately over ice.
Serve: Strain the mixture into a glass if you prefer a smoother drink, and garnish with mint leaves.
