Healthy Fat and Protein Snack
Nut Butter Protein Balls
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup natural almond butter
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)
1/4 cup protein powder (any flavour)
1 tablespoon ground chia seeds or flaxseeds
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and salt.
Add the almond/peanut butter, honey/maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
If the mixture is too dry, add a splash of water or milk (1 teaspoon at a time) until it holds together.
Fold in chocolate chips or chopped nuts for added texture.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
