Healthy Fat and Protein Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 large or medium ripped banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup of organic oats
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of ground chia seeds or 1 tablespoon ground linseed
1 scoop (about 20g) of unflavored pea protein powder
1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (e.g., almond, oat milk, better if you do it yourself)
Optional: 1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut butter, except peanut)
Prepare the Ingredients:
Peel the banana and ensure the blueberries are frozen for a thicker shake.
Add to Blender: In a high-speed blender, combine oats, linseed, chia seeds, and pea protein powder.
Add ingredients: banana, frozen blueberries, and almond butter, and pour in the non-dairy milk. Adjust the amount for your preferred consistency (less for a thicker shake, more for a thinner one).
Blend: Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
Serve: Pour into a glass or to-go bottle and enjoy.
